I’ve pretty much concluded that about pages are useless, because approximately two weeks after one is written, enough things will happen to render all the facts on the page outdated.

And it seems like a silly effort to keep this up when, instead of reading this page and trying to imagine who I was at the time I wrote this, you could be talking to me instead, or maybe inferring from my posts, and somehow actively learning who I am. I figure you care somewhat about that, if you’re on this page.

I could tell you, in general terms, that I tend to like a lot of ren’ai-style and visual novel anime, and certain people could tell you that I have more than a slight penchant for girls in glasses and girls named Shiori Misaka, but wouldn’t you rather learn more than that some other way? Anibloggers are people too.

So, if you want to know who I am, let my writing speak for me.

My actual posts, not just this 200-word brief banged out one weekend morning. Or, if you’re ever interested in a chat for some reason or other, you can find me on a lot of anime-related channels on IRC, mostly on the Rizon server. #dasaku is a natural one, considering that’s where I’m hosted. Or, try @Canon2D on Twitter.

Oh, and if you’re here to wonder about the background of the site, it was started in 2007 after realizing anime gave me strange feelings and thoughts, which can only be expressed in loosely-connected essays of longer than 1000 words in length (typically).

Here, is where I express those feelings.

My online handle is CCY (except when it’s Canon), and I hope we get along together.
